Resting in the heart of Jamestown Virginia, Mount Ebott, originally called Mount Frourio, was a fortress created under the authority of King James I of England to act as a military stronghold against the Monsters during the Human-Monster War. Mount Frourio was captured by the Monsters during the final days of the war and rechristened as Mt Ebott. It was later used as the prison to hold the Monsters away from genocide. The mountain was created using Level 5 Earth Magic by erupting magma from the Earth until it piled high enough. Using the same Earth Magic, is was then molded to a resemblance of how it was when the Monsters were imprisoned inside it. After the Monsters were imprisoned inside Mount Ebbot, sections of the mountain were enchanted to have diverse environments, such as the Snowdin Province, and a The Barrier was formed in the infrastructure of the mountain to prevent the Monsters from leaving.

Worldwide Catastrophic flooding has forced man and mutant kind to abandon earth or face extinction. Thousands of years into the future from the depths of the sea a new homo genus has risen to dominate the world. Homo Cephlapadas or inklings as they prefer to be called.

Though man's destructive impact is lost to the sands of time, archeological findings have cause inklings to embrace and almost worship late 20th century to first decade 21st pop culture and use it as a basis for their own culture.
